Help-Portrait is a global movement of photographers, hairstylists, makeup artists and general volunteers using their time, tools and expertise to give back to those in need.
It all started with just 2 photographers in the US in 2008, founded by Jeremy Cowart and Kyle Chowning.
Today, Help-Portrait has grown to 67 countries all around the world on the same day. Globally, we’ve provided over 380. 000 portraits, with over 75,000 volunteers worldwide!
Help-Portrait is about GIVING the pictures, not taking them. These portraits aren’t for a portfolio, website, or sale. It’s about giving people who otherwise couldn’t afford photography, a chance to capture a moment, a memory…and a whole lot more.We find people in need, take their picture, print their picture and then deliver it—free of charge
